EAATA Marine Mammals Education Project, Marine Mammals Trainers Bootcamp, offers unique opportunities for our associate ,undergraduate, graduate students , and recent college graduates, interested in obtaining practical experience in the marine mammal training field. Working in groups, as well as individually alongside our professional animal trainers, animal care staff, and research scientists, our interns delve into all aspects of day-to-day facility operations. Whether it’s assisting aiding in the care of our marine mammals, our students enjoy a truly immersive and valuable start to a career in Animal Care.
EAATA Marine Mammals Education Project, Marine Animal Training Bootcamp is designed to be a career learning experience. Interns will gain firsthand
experience in data collections, sanitation procedures, food preparation, and marine animal husbandry. Interns will work within the departments to gain in-depth knowledge of animal training
through a unique phase training program. This allows the individual to familiarize themselves with the training techniques and terminology used at Mediterraneo Park Malta.

Program Duties/Goals
Assist staff with daily operations and procedures, including, but not limited to:
Diet preparation
Overseeing and participating in dolphin swim sessions
Facility cleaning and maintenance
Guest relations
Guest education and public speaking
Assisting with dolphin training sessions
Assist with multiple departments as needed
Collect data to support ongoing research projects
