EAATA - European Academy for Animal Trainer Association – was founded with the goal of providing specialised training courses for future trainers of marine mammals in controlled environment, with a view to ensure the optimal welfare of the animals and the highest quality of their care.
The Association, friend of IMATA, is based in Rome, and provides courses of basic and advanced training for trainers of dolphins and other cetaceans, including operant conditioning, husbandry and positive reinforcement. The courses are also addressed to people who simply would like to get a better understanding of the behaviour and biology of these phenomenal creatures. All classes are taught by professional international trainers. EAATA enjoys exclusive partnerships with some of the most important zoos and aquatic parks in Europe.
